Zuriaake

Zuriaake
Zuriaake
  • ... that the members of the black metal band Zuriaake do not wear corpsepaint on-stage because the Chinese think it more amusing than terrifying?Source: "Nor did corpse paint, given that the Chinese imagine zombies as stiff, hopping cadavers more humorous than terrifying." ( [1])
    • ALT1:... that in their debut European show, Zuriaake became the first Chinese metal band to play a concert in Northern Europe?Source: "n May 2017, Zuriaake were invited by Finland’s Steelfest Open Air, the largest black metal music festival in northern Europe where the band played its European debut show." ( [2])
    • ALT2:... that the band's name Zuriaake is a metaphor for the Chinese poet Qu Yuan? (in German, [3])
    • ALT3:... that the members of the band Zuriaake excluding their drummer wear traditional clothing on-stage like Hanfu and Dǒulì? Source: "Each dressed head to toe in black embroidered Hanfu, and black, netted Dou Li bamboo hats (except the drummer, who would have found it impossible to wear and maintain his vicious assault on the drums), they arrive on stage like a temple parade, carrying rough-framed cloth lanterns, and forgoing the smoke machine for a swinging thurible." Date most passes (created 12 June, expansion finished by 20 June). Size, neutrality, referencing, copyvio spotcheck, all fine. Main hook should mention the band is Chinese but anyway it fails as I cannot find the "because the Chinese think it more amusing than terrifying" in article's text at all. ALT1 is fine but IMHO boring, ALT2 is more interesting but I'd recommend making it longer, see ALT2a below. IMHO terms corpse paint, Qu Yuan, hanfu and dǒulì should be linked in the hooks (also, hanfu and douli should not be capitalized, they are not proper nouns). ALT3 is ok as well (just de-capitalize the Chinese words). The proposed image IMHO is unclear, particularly as a thumb, File:Zuriaake @ Roadburn Festival 2018-04-22 001.jpg, File:Zuriaake @ Roadburn Festival 2018-04-22 006.jpg or File:Zuriaake @ Roadburn Festival 2018-04-22 003.jpg may work better. -- Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 02:07, 25 July 2021 (UTC)
    • ALT2:... that the band's name Zuriaake is a metaphor for the Chinese poet Qu Yuan who drowned himself due to his hate for the government?
