  • I'm sorry that you've had to wait so long for a review. Hook is interesting and neutral. AGF on offline source. But I do have some issues with sourcing in this article – quite a lot of the text looks unreferenced to me. Is the entire second paragraph (except the last sentence) sourced to citation 4? If it is, then that's okay, but I want to make sure. Same question for the first half of the first paragraph and citation 1. I also think there could be merit in writing the hook slightly, so I have added an ALT. Let me know what you think. Thanks, A Thousand Doors ( talk | contribs) 13:22, 7 September 2016 (UTC)
  • A Thousand Doors - that is a good catch on the sourcing. I must have posted a different version of the article than what I have on my PC, because that was sourced better than what was posted. Either way I believe I have addressed the concerns of being unreferenced now. And I am good with the slightly edited version you posted for ALt1.  MPJ -DK  22:48, 7 September 2016 (UTC)
  • I came to promote this but had a look at the NWA World Heavyweight Championship article before doing so and saw that it claimed of the NWAWHC "This effectively makes it the oldest surviving wrestling championship in the world." This casts some doubt on the hook fact and it would be better to choose a new uncontroversial hook in the present DYK climate. Cwmhiraeth ( talk) 06:15, 14 September 2016 (UTC)
  • Cwmhiraeth - To quote the info box on that page "Date established: July 14, 1948", that is the fact, the NWA did not exist when this championship was created, that is a fact as well. People can claim what they want about the NWA title, claims are not facts. "Effectively" is not the same as "actually" - I present sourced facts as a hook, verifiable facts as a hook, I see no need to change it when it is true.  MPJ -DK  11:17, 14 September 2016 (UTC)
OK, I agree with you. This nomination is ready for promotion. Cwmhiraeth ( talk) 12:34, 14 September 2016 (UTC)
