Hook is too long - should be 200 characters or fewer. I would also recommend copy-editing the article or finding someone else to do so.

ALT3 ... that the first commander of the 1st Czechoslovak Partisan Brigade of Jan Žižka Ján Ušiak (pictured) was killed in action and its second commander B.D. Mursin was seriously wounded twice?
Charles01 has agreed to copy-edit the article. It will take him some time, but I guess it will be done by the time this hook gets to the front page.
Article is plenty long enough and new enough. It is thoroughly supported by reference citations -- although it's disconcerting that almost all of them are to the same book. The copy-editing that Nikkimaria asked for has been done. I have to AGF regarding sources and copyvios due to the offline foreign-language source. The original hook and ALTs 1 and 2 are in the article and supported by citations. ALT3 doesn't work for me -- the article indicates that Ján Ušiak killed himself to avoid capture. I have concerns about the wording and interest level of all three hooks that are factually OK. The original hook could be shortened to meet length criteria. ALT1 would be more interesting with a bit of added context. ALT2 seems like an important fact, but without the context of what the unit was or who
Dietrich von Müller was, I'm not awfully interested. I suggest the following rewording for the original hook and ALT1:
