ALT1:... that in the state of
Hawaii, April 5, 1981 was dedicated to Donnis Thompson in honor of her impact to women’s athletics?
DONNIS HAZEL THOMPSON (1933-2009) "On April 5, 1981, the State of Hawaii celebrated Dr. Donnis Thompson day in recognition of her contributions to women’s athletics and Hawaii."
Article is new enough, long enough, no issues with the article. I like both hooks, they're both sourced. Just one note, from my search it seemed like it was just April 5 in 1981 that was Dr. Donnis Thompson day, not every 5 April. If this is the case, ALT1 needs to be updated to reflect that. QPQ done, so when the ALT1 thing is cleared up, this is all good to go.
