Editorial Comment: How often does a lowly lieutenant have the influence to change a nation's history? Deuane Sunnalath not only helped overthrow the
Royal Lao Government; he also split the resulting nationalist reform political movement asunder to form a second neutralist political party. In the long run, he rose to become a deputy minister in the new government.

This article is new enough and long enough. Going for the original hook because there is no inline citation supporting ALT1. The hook facts are cited offline and accepted in good faith. The article is neutral but I could not assess whether there were any copyright issues because of lack of access to the sources.
