Article meets newness and length requirements. No image so no problem there. Proposed hook is interesting and is cited. The article however has some typos and/or needs some revisions: "commissioned by the Color of Change" probably doesn't need the quotation marks, for example. Also, "showed that very few television were black" needs to be clarified. The sentence regarding his O.J. Simpson book has no footnote. "Graaf a History professor" should be "Graaf, a History professor". As mentioned by Northamerica1000, a QPQ is still needed.

WP:BLP do say that footnotes are required if statements are contentious, and that statement
isn't really contentious, so I can give you that. No copyright violations or plagiarism detected either so there are no other problems with the article. All that's needed now is a QPQ.
