Nonetheless, I think it's a good hook, and will get plenty of hits. Article is new enough, long enough, fully referenced. No QPQ required. If an article is linked to at ITN but not the featured ITN article, it is still eligible for DYK. Not the featured article, so it is eligible. Good to go.

Sorry, I don't see the hook fact ("highest winning margin in any World Cup semifinal or final") in the cite provided (footnote 24). It only says something about Brazil not losing by a 6-point margin in 94 years.

The source says that no team every scored seven goals in a semifinal, and that the previous record was six goals in two 6-1 victories. It follows that six points must be the highest winning margin.
