PT Indonusa Telemedia, operating under the brand name Transvision, is a subscription-based direct broadcast satellite service provider in Indonesia. It is primarily owned by Trans Media, a subsidiary of CT Corp. [2]
Transvision's slogan is Broadcasting at The Edge of Technology.
PT Indonusa Telemedia was established on May 7, 1997, under the brand name TelkomVision. Operations commenced in 1999 with a consortium of shareholders, including:
By 2003, Telkom became the principal shareholder, holding 98.75% of TelkomVision shares, with the remaining 1.25% owned by Datakom. Datakom's ownership structure included:
In 2014, TelkomVision underwent an official rebranding as Transvision, as TelkomVision shareholders held only 20% ownership, with Trans Media emerging as the primary stakeholder, holding 80%. Currently, Transvision is wholly owned by a joint venture between Telkom Group and Trans Media.
As of August 1, 2022, Transvision no longer includes Paramount Global channels in any of its plans.
Transvision's analog cable TV coverage is limited to several cities in Indonesia, including Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, and Surabaya. It also offers a digital cable service available in Bandung, Jakarta, and Surabaya.[ citation needed] However, this service has now been replaced by IndiHome, which was then directly owned by Telkom Indonesia, later relinquished it to Telkomsel in 2023.
Transvision's satellite service spans 38 distributor areas across Indonesia. The company utilizes the Measat 3B satellite (Ku-band) to deliver High Definition TV.[ citation needed]
