I have a much clearer picture of the same petroglyphs, taken last summer, which I'm happy to release under CC. Would anybody object if I uploaded it in the place of the one we are using at the moment? Squeezeweasel 13:23, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
Oh, I also have much clearer pictures and lots of them. I did not upload because it would overwhelm the text. I see no problem with you replacing it with a better photo. Go ahead. If people don't like your version they can always revert.
Do place it in Commons as Stan said.

The text currently looks like it came verbatim from the park brochure. I wonder if anyone can add anything more up-to-date on the geology. I think "uplift" got left behind when plate tectonics was discovered. Aren't subsidence and wrench faulting the main players in this Basin and Range structure, caused in response to rotation of the Pacific plate?
I didn't get to see what the geo exhibit in the visitor centre says. Kkken ( talk) 09:55, 23 July 2008 (UTC)
What? Article doesn't mention anything about Mouse and Mouse's Tank. It usually has water all year round, and from what I remember from when I told when I was six, Mouse was an American Indian that hid or something and used Mouse's Tank to survive. The "Film History" section has gotten completely out of hand. First, it's far too large a percentage of the total articlde. Second, many of the items are minor. Third, there's not a single reliable source in the entire section. It's not enough to say "I recognized the Valley of Fire." Unless someone objects in the next few days, I'm going to take a meat cleaver to it. -- Larry/Traveling_Man ( talk) 23:36, 3 July 2016 (UTC)
