According to United States Congressional Elections, 1788-1997: The Official Results, by Michael J. Dubin, the first year Hawaii used districts was in the election for the 92nd Congress. It lists the election of Matsunaga from District 1 and Mink from District 2. I have changed the article accordingly, but please reply to this if I am misrepresenting something, as I assume whoever wrote the article the way it is didn't do so without some sort of source in front of them. - Banyan ( talk) 19:40, 31 October 2013 (UTC) reply

@ WMSR: the previous format of the table was consistent with the two featured lists out of the 50 states, "United States congressional delegations from Utah and Indiana". Could we please revert to the previous format of the table, and remove the unnecessary party key? @ Theleekycauldron Hi! I'm certainly open to removing the party key, as making a new customizable template for that is on my to-do list. However it is worth noting that it is difficult to show terms in office using the "sidebar color" format for the Senate, and it can be unclear whether the color bar refers to the officeholder on the left or right at first glance for other larger tables. That said, I can also see how it might improve readability to do away with shading. I am definitely open to a larger discussion of which format is "preferred," and have no issue if you want to revert my edits here until such a discussion occurs. @ Theleekycauldron Of course! Same here! I was just trying to standardize the congressional delegation pages, but you're right about MOS:VAR and I don't want to run afoul of any rules. Both styles have advantages and disadvantages, so a discussion seems to be the best way to weigh the pros and cons. Let me know if I can help!
