Why are Caucasians the only race that merits a color instead of a nationality? Just a thought. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by DryGrain ( talk • contribs) .
Could someone please indicate the pronunciation of "Ukiah"? It doesn't have to be in the International Phonetic Alphabet, but some rough indication would be useful. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 207.88.181.170 ( talk) 15:10, 6 January 2007 (UTC).
I live near Ukiah, somewhat, and it is pronounced yūkī'ə. If you're not into that whole pronunciation key thing, it's similar to You-Kai-Uh. 4.246.159.97 07:39, 21 April 2007 (UTC)

I was curious for some extra input on this section. Do we need to have it? Generally, more information is better but not many of the other city articles have a "Government" section to them. Any thoughts? Monkeyshines78 ( talk) 18:05, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
We basically have two facts areas - one for Arts and Culture, and the other for "Facts." Both list one baseball-related item. If Arts and Culture can't be expanded beyond just a list, I think we should merge the two. Maruchan ( talk) 18:17, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
Is the momentary presence of Leonard Lake really noteworthy, let alone something the town wants in its Wiki 15 minutes? I grew up in Ukiah in the 1980's and surely never heard the name, and while it may be true that he was there... I'm sure we can think of plenty of others who've stopped through for a moment. Famous people have been stopping at the Burger King at the Perkins 101 exit for decades... UHS1993 ( talk) 18:40, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
Shouldn't Jim Jones be added to the list of noteworthy people? He was established there at one point. BenW ( talk) 09:00, 19 April 2009 (UTC)
Per my cousin, a long-time Ukiah resident, there is a third major export, which until recently was illegal, even though dominant: cannabis. My cousin told me that these 3 export industries are the dominant employer groups in the region. (My cousin had worked in both of the other 2.) Acwilson9 ( talk) 02:45, 6 October 2019 (UTC)
