The "first" ship never served in the Continental Navy or in the United States Navy. Not sure why it qualifies as a "USS". Perhaps this can go into a "see also" as we've done for so many other ships that were named but never served. Jinian 13:53, 3 Apr 2005 (UTC)

I found that she was with the South Carolina Navy, which was never officially part of the United States Navy. Info added. Jinian 14:45, 4 Apr 2005 (UTC)
