It's also very selective history to say the 1994 election was all about term limits. The NRA poured huge amounts of advertising money into E WA that summer and fall, including specific anti-Foley ads starring Charlton Heston, in spite of the NRA endorsing Foley many, many times. His sin? He supported the 94 crime bill which included a ban on flash suppressors for semi-automatic rifles. You know. For hunting.

I think the phrase the Republican electoral tsunami of triumph of 1994 in the Term Limits section is a bit ridiculous. I would recommend simply eliminating the words "tsunami of".

Can someone please confirm that his Birthday is March 26. I read elsewhere that is is March 6, 1929

Mr. Foley passed on October 18. On October 28, President Obama ordered flags to be flown at half-staff on October 29. The Presidential Proclamation is here: www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2013/10/28/esidential-proclamation-death-thomas-s-foley-former-speaker-house-repres. The problem is that according to U.S. Code Title 4, Section 7, Subsection (m) (aka The Flag Code,), "The flag shall be flown at half-staff...10 days from the day of death of...the Speaker of the House of Representatives..." http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/4/7.
