A Background and Reception section

A section for the background of the novel, detailing Acosta's experiences in East L.A. and interactions with Hunter S. Thompson, will illustrate why and how the novel was written in the method of Gonzo Journalism. With a Reception section, it will display how the novel was received by Chicano critics at the time, of how they initially critical of the novel.

I added a few sentences about it as a work of Gonzo journalism. I believe it is relevant information for the introduction paragraph. Aeroglove566 ( talk) 14:03, 26 March 2024 (UTC) reply

I've added a Reception section to the article. I intend to improve that section from there and will create a "Context"(Background) section for information regarding Acosta's life and Gonzo journalism. Aeroglove566 ( talk) 03:53, 21 April 2024 (UTC) reply

Improvement for the Plot Section

I believe the Plot section needs more information about the events of the novel. It gives a broad, general summary of Brown's story, so adding more about the plot will help readers understand what The Revolt of the Cockroach People is about. Maybe we can try to replicate what the article for Autobiography of a Brown Buffalo did? Aeroglove566 ( talk) 04:00, 21 April 2024 (UTC) reply
