Nesh

Nesh, meaning an unusual susceptibility to cold, is used in this film. I should like to amplify the reference in the nesh article. Can any editor help with which character used the word, in what context and, if possible, a direct quote, please? TerriersFan 02:01, 11 August 2006 (UTC) reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Full monty.jpg

Image:Full monty.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

The Serendipity Of It's UK Release Coinciding With Princess Diana's Death

Can't believe that this isn't mentioned as a chief factor in its box office success - e.g. www.mentalfloss.com/article/503508/13-naked-truths-about-‘-full-monty’ — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mr gobrien ( talkcontribs) 21:40, 30 December 2018 (UTC) reply

Top grossing British film?

The imdb trivia (which isn't necessarily accurate, and certainly isn't kept up to date) claims that this film broke all-time box office records for a British movie.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0119164/trivia

I am wondering if anyone can confirm this, and include it in the article. I have had trouble finding any direct information about British box-office records, and the article doesn't mention its gross in the "reception" section (though it does identify the money received on the sidebar). marbeh raglaim ( talk) 23:46, 6 September 2010 (UTC)It is uncertain whether the impact on the British Box office in terms of a dollar value accurately reflects the way in which the true cultural value "the Full Monty" has contributed to the cultural value of Britain. Cultural references to The Full Montyhas had an immense impact on the pop culture moulded into our modern british society. reply

United States?

Was just wondering under what grounds the film is listed as a dual United Kingdom-United States film? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.109.72.78 ( talk) 23:09, 6 September 2012 (UTC) reply

Soundtrack

There has been a request for the the deletion of the soundtrack cover here Wikipedia:Files for deletion/2012 December 23#File:TheFullMonty Soundtrack.jpg There is also a discussion about how they are represented on Wikipedia and the policy about them here Wikipedia_talk:Non-free_content#Discussion_-_Arbitrary_break_uno As the discussion stands so far you'd need the Soundtrack cover to be different then the lead film infobox, it could be a new lead image, or you might get here a different soundtrack cover like this. [1] but the information about the soundtrack would still need to be referenced more. With interviews, and, or reviews, and reference the all music score. Here are some of the websites that might help; But it's up to you if you want to do the work and it still might get removed, but whether the information is here or in a article of it's own that information being referenced would help create a better article over all.

Magazines, secializing in just the soundtracks;

Very similar film pre-dating this one

There was a drama on British TV in 1996 called "The Bare Necessities" in which out of work coal miners started working as strippers. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bare_Necessities_%28disambiguation%29. http://www.theguardian.com/notesandqueries/query/0,,-203075,00.html

The Full Monty (sic)

The Full Monty: a striptease performance involving full nudity, especially by a man.

Might the article ask: Why is no one interested in asking why the the film title suggests that the characters 'do the full monty and strip naked' - when this is clearly not so? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.149.166.203 ( talk) 22:59, 11 December 2023 (UTC) reply
