This was long overdue, but I have attempted to edit the Demographics section in accordance with the available 2010 census data. I had to remove the pie chart that showed census data from 2000. Which unfortunately has brought to light some possibly quite extensive copyright problems here dating from several years ago, when an editor seems to have added copyright material on at least three different occasions (content containing the phrases "then a state assemblyman", "last sheet of ice", "selling their land"). Most of that was moved to the new page, but since that editor has a large number of contributions to this one, I've regretfully blanked it and listed it at WP:CP for processing. I'm sorry about that. Well, Cam, there's no need to apologise to me (if that's what was meant). The large box is invasive and annoying, a disfigurement of the page, and calling it just "regrettable" shows great restraint. I'm sorry I didn't respond here sooner. On the rewrite, please see the comment I left here. I think the same approach could be taken in this article, starting from the same old version. Or, if those who watch this page would prefer, it could simply be rolled back to that version straight away; that would leave only some subsequent "clean" edits to be redone. Thoughts? Now, according to this article, locally Syracuse is referred to as /ˈsɛrəkjuːs/. But I've lived in Syracuse all my life, and I've never said it as anything other than /ˈsirəkjuːs/, and I don't think I've heard anyone say it any other way either, although I might have not noticed it because my brain was subconsciously "correcting for" their accent. Officially defined neighborhood boundaries in the City of Syracuse appear to have shifted. See the Open Data Syracuse map (2017). Currently a student at SU; noticed that the proposed transit subheading is severely out of date, not to mention that these plans have apparently gone nowhere. No such monorail or aerial ropeway exists in Syracuse, though I would be 100% in full support of both of the mentioned projects. I bring this up because the proposals occurred in or around 2005 according to the page, at a time when Destiny USA had not been built (see "Proposed Destiny USA"). Destiny USA is now of course built, standing as the 6th largest shopping mall in the United States. I don't want to remove anything because I am not an expert on this topic. Removed monorail section today. Poor citations, no such project was ever built so it was not relevant to the article. I am mostly sure that the section about the proposed aerial tram is a practical joke, as its only citation simply links to the wikipedia page for the Post Standard, a Syracuse newspaper.
