Just for the record, I removed the line:

the Battles of Saratoga rank among the fifteen most decisive battles in world history. citation needed

This statement comes from the inclusion of the Battle of Saratoga in the book Fifteen Decisive Battles of the World: From Marathon to Waterloo by Edward S. Creasy. Therefore, it is really just the opinion of Creasy that the battle was one of the fifteen most decisive. Although there is no doubt it was an important battle, I didn't think the line seemed to belong in this article. -- Nebular110 22:49, 11 July 2006 (UTC) reply

Saratoga Monument

Is the monument really a part of the historic park? If it is not then the picture really should be removed from this article. It does need its own article anyways. Camelbinky ( talk) 18:07, 27 April 2009 (UTC) reply

The monument is part of the park, as the park consists of 3 sites: the Battlefield, the Schuyler House, and the Saratoga Monument. -- Coingeek ( talk) 20:41, 27 August 2009 (UTC) reply
