101

Does that picture really need to be there? Why does an article on SLO county have a picture of the 101, 3 countys down. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bigbadbyte ( talkcontribs) 01:31, 27 May 2008 (UTC) reply

I agree so I've removed it.  X  S  G  07:04, 27 May 2008 (UTC) reply

Page Move

Per WP:NC:CITY, "San Luis Obispo County" needs no disambiguation as it is a unique name for a county. As such, the article should be named San Luis Obispo County and not San Luis Obispo County, California (though San Luis Obispo County, California can serve as a redirect back to San Luis Obispo County). There's a discussion on this subject on Talk:San Luis Obispo, California, and I'll perform whatever action to this page as is appropriate to that page. If that "action" is "nothing at all" then so be it.  X  S  G  01:01, 14 October 2008 (UTC) reply

Never mind, per a more thorough reading of WP:NC:CITY.  X  S  G  01:55, 14 October 2008 (UTC) reply

Adjacent Counties chart...

I'm not a fan of the new adjacent county chart. I'd like to delete it. Thoughts?  X  S  G  03:36, 13 December 2008 (UTC) reply

I'm not either. I admit, this is my very first time seeing it, but I'm used to just listing the counties. YellowAries2010 ( talk) 20:41, 15 December 2010 (UTC) reply

Historical air photos gallery

A nice set of 30 photos, dating from just after WW2 to about 2008, from the SLO Tribune newspaper. I'm putting it here as the Trib has the habit of rotating a paywall for their main articles. With luck, this one will turn out to be freely available. Try it & see. -- Pete Tillman ( talk) 04:40, 18 February 2016 (UTC) reply

Climate section?

We don't have one, and probably should. Noteworthy are such periods as now, when inland high pressure can yield 50-degee F. temp gradients between the beaches and North County (John Lindsay, 7/26/16 forecast). Surely some of the sharpest gradients anywhere. -- Pete Tillman ( talk) 14:56, 26 July 2016 (UTC) reply

Yesterday was another day of sharp temperature gradients between the coast and the inland valleys. Paso Robles hit 106 degrees yesterday, while Diablo Canyon only reached 56 degrees, a 50 degree temperature differential. -- PG&E DCPP Weather Forecast for Thursday 07/28/16
