Merge
I think this is pretty cut and dry, but figure I'd put it up for discussion anyway.

I believe this referred to
San Diego Gulls Girls being redirected here, as opposed to another team. The content about the cheerleaders has since removed as trivial.

Demerge
I think it's time to demerge these teams into the following:
I propose to disambiguate by dates. Doing so by league would be insufficient, as WHL or IHL could be one than one league, and the third Gulls team played in the WCHL and ECHL. I also feel each is as notable as the other and am opposed to leaving one team on the
San Diego Gulls article itself. The "San Diego Gulls" would become the disambiguation page.

Agreed. These are three completely different franchises that just happen to share the same name. It's as crazy having three different teams in one article is it would be to have three different biographies in one article.

De-Merge. per both of the above. -

It has been done. Anyone wanna help disambiguate?

I'm also going to CFR the corresponding player categories to disambiguation those too.

Proposed Move
Because the only team presently using the San Diego Gulls name is the AHL franchise
San Diego Gulls should be the article for the AHL team while this disambiguation page should be moved to
San Diego Gulls (disambiguation). Looking for consensus before making the move. --

Support - but not yet. Let's wait until the
San Diego Gulls (Jr. A) conclude their season...THEN we can make the move.

Support this plan of action - That's a good idea...I think that should be the plan. --

Support, makes sense as they're THE Gulls now that the Jr. A team season has concluded and they've changed names.

Support - but wait until the end of at least the WSHL playoffs (of which the current Jr. A Gulls are still playing). The playoffs are still only in the semi-finals so it should end around April 1 and then it fine to redirect and change the name of the Jr. A team to the Sabers.

Support — makes sense. I've just disambiguated the rest of the links that were incoming, so that should lessen the load when it comes time to do the move.

So I was attempting to update the
San Diego Gulls (Jr. A) to the Sabers today and found that this redirect (
San Diego Sabers) already exists to a TV show. I don't want to lose the edit history of the Jr. A team by copy and pasting over the redirect. What are other options?
Yosemiter (

Yeah cutting and pasting is a big nono. Just get an admin to make the move when this is a problem. I have completed the moves per the above. -
