There is no such thing as a "San Carlos Department" in Chile. The departamento, an administrative division of former Chilean provinces (it used to operate as an intermediate administrative district between the comuna and the provincia) was abolished more than thirty years ago. 146.155.232.13 15:47, 6 October 2006 (UTC) reply
