I have tried to edit the characters' name in the article from 'Beckett' to 'Becket' (as it is spelt in the series itself) but this has been reverted. I can't see why, any reasons? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.201.64.154 ( talk) 12:13, 28 February 2011 (UTC)

So, what happen to him in the last episode?
Surely there's some way to get the catch-phrase "Oh boy" into this article. That's a very noteworthy feature of the character. Chalkieperfect 01:50, 7 July 2007 (UTC)
Hey, if he was born in 1953 then how could he beat a computer at chess at age 10? 1962 was when the first arguably competent chess playing program was developed at MIT. It sucked. Then again Al had a Blackberry in 1996, so maybe the Quantum Leap universe has better computers than we do. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.31.64.54 ( talk) 19:17, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
I tagged the article for its in-universe style and the trivia section but I'd argue that much of it is just too detailed for an encyclopaedia. (Example: "The 1970s was not Sam's favorite decade; for instance, he dislikes disco.") Any thoughts? Peeper ( talk) 11:34, 14 December 2007 (UTC)
I've made some framing changes to deal in part with the issues Peeper tagged, but didn't want to overstep. Please take a look and see what else can be modified. Chalkie, the epilogue just states, after he makes the one change he'd regretted not making originally, that he never came home.

Samuel Beckett (Quantum Leap) → Sam Beckett — He is almost never called Samuel in Quantum Leap, and, to quote Wikipedia:Naming conventions, article naming should prefer what the greatest number of English speakers would most easily recognize, with a reasonable minimum of ambiguity, while at the same time making linking to those articles easy and second nature. Also, "Sam Beckett" redirects here anyway. — Philip Stevens ( talk) 16:00, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

Wikipedia's naming conventions. This article incorrectly states Sam Beckett having a PhD in Chemistry while it's rather obvious from the episode "A Single Drop of Rain" (S4E9) that he has no clue as how to make silver sulfate, thus making it very unlikely that he would have a PhD in the subject.
Also they state on the show that he hasn't got a PhD in Psychology, however there is no mention of Psychiatry as this article claims is one PhD he hasn't got. 85.230.252.211 ( talk) 15:55, 22 January 2013 (UTC)
