Salé pirates in America

Could we please have some sort of source for this statement ? It sounds a bit far-fetched but may be right - what is the evidence ? Boulet rouge ( talk) 21:23, 14 March 2008 (UTC) reply

Merge proposal

Propose merging Medina of Salé into Salé.

This is a good-faith but unnecessary WP:SPLIT from the main article, Salé. The latter, which currently lacks a section about its historical heritage, could easily cover any information that would be relevant here, which would be more helpful to readers. Salé is not as large or as complex as other medina cities, so the amount of information to cover here and the availability of reliable sources is more limited. Even in the case of Marrakesh, which has a much larger and UNESCO-designated medina, there has been no consensus to create an article about the medina separately from the main article about the city. PS: There are a few other short, poorly-sourced "medina" articles like this (e.g. Medina of Taza) which I believe should also be merged, but I'm starting with this one for now. R Prazeres ( talk) 03:07, 11 February 2024 (UTC) reply
