A fact from Russian River (California) appeared on Wikipedia's
Main Page in the Did you know column on 1 April 2004. The text of the entry was as follows:
a stub. it needs expansion especially in hydrology, ecology, history, prehistory and management. need more sourcing and images.

I made a slight change about the river flowing through Lake Mendo. Technically only the East Fork feeds the lake. The West Fork bypasses it entirely, and is the one that most people notice along 101 north of Ukiah.

4th largest?
This river is a major watercourse in Northern California. However, the Klamath, Eel, Trinity, Smith (and probably the Mad and Van Duzen) are ALL larger rivers.
