I would be very interested to see this page express information about signs-manual in general, not simply those limited to monarchs or similar heads of state. The letters patent employed in signatures, I know, are not restricted thereto, but might also be used by a duke (D., e,g,) or other title of nobility. This varies by region and by year.
Unfortunately I am not yet finding any specific sources on this subject. I shall continue to look.
