Is Johnny Weissmuller really Romanian? He was born in Austria-Hungary to Austrian German parents...the place happens to be in Romania today, but surely that does not make him Romanian? Adam Bishop 03:28, 16 Jul 2004 (UTC)

Can you specify the source of this information please? There are over 3 millions Romanian ethnics in United States, because it is impossible that there are just 300 000 in all the United States. Just in Chicago there are over 200 000 Romanians. NorbertArthur

Norbert, likewise, what is the source for your claim of millions in the US? The census figures are now properly cited, and as you well know even the Ro-Am site mentions a max (and doubtful) estimate of 1.2M in the US, not 2M as the article presently would have us believe.-- cjllw | TALK 01:27, 18 April 2006 (UTC) reply

"History" section and apparent copyvio

I have removed the sections on History, as these additions (made early April 2006 by User:NorbertArthur are a virtual word-for-word reproduction of material which appears on the Romanian-American Network, Inc. website, and hence in all likelyhood in violation of copyright. Compare the initial addition to this article, with this text. -- cjllw | TALK 01:35, 18 April 2006 (UTC) reply

Religion

Tismăneanu, the first Romanian-American pictured, is Jewish (as are many Americans who originate in Romania). Should we add that as a religion in the box? Biruitorul 22:00, 19 October 2007 (UTC) reply

Orphaned references in Romanian Americans

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Romanian Americans's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "USCB":

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 15:07, 16 March 2017 (UTC) reply

Tarzan

The famous Johnny Weissmuller was born in what is now Freidorf, Timisoara, part of Romania. Should he be included as well ? — 79.113.243.218 ( talk) 08:20, 2 May 2019 (UTC) reply
