Rochester and Guasti, anyone know much on these. I know Guasti was formally South Cucamonga, and is located just north of the Ontario Airport, but why is the name hardly used today? Rochester appears to be between "Cucamonga" and "Etiwanda"

Will & Grace

Wasn't Rancho Cucamonga mentioned by Karen Walker while cracking a joke on Rosario?

Cucamonga is an inherently funny word, and is therefore mentioned on many comedy programs. As a whole these mentions are notable, but each and every one would tend to dominate the article. For ballance, only a select few should be actually in the article. Gentgeen 19:03, 5 November 2006 (UTC) reply
I agree with Gentgeen. - Will Beback 08:02, 7 November 2006 (UTC) reply
Does anyone recall a Flintstone episode or special, Fred and Barney lead a cub scout troop to National Jamboree held at Rocko Cucamonga?....Or am i totally off?

Fair use rationale for Image:Logo rancho cucamonga.png

Image:Logo rancho cucamonga.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Naming of Rochester Avenue

While I am familiar with the "Rochester" brothers (Charles, Rudolph, and Frank Smith), I would like to see the citation that Rochester Avenue was indeed named after them. I am aware that they originally purchased properties south of where Foothill and Rochester intersect, but I'd like a source to debunk the possible myth of it being named after Benny's sidekick. What is more likely is that Jack Benny Street was named that because it intersected Rochester Ave. I am seeking a proper way to insert that info into the article, as my previous mention of it was removed.

Circular Links

When Cucamonga is listed as an unincorporated territory, it links to Cucamonga, California which links back here. I think this circular logic should be fixed by someone who can write a stub about the pre-merger Cucamonga. Thecurran 04:35, 22 August 2007 (UTC) reply

Since Alta Loma and Etiwanda have stubs, Cucamonga should as well. When I have some more time I will create the stub - unless someone beats me to it. Thecurran, why not give it a shot? Be bold! DeeKenn ( talk) 18:47, 2 March 2008 (UTC) reply

Finally doing some cleanup that I've been wanting to do for some time. I removed the list of notable residents and made a new list article at List of people from Rancho Cucamonga, California. I've also just started trimming the trivia section. It was marked back in April 2009 as needing attention. Dawnseeker2000 03:25, 15 November 2009 (UTC) reply

Name / History

The name is "inherently funny;" it would be interesting to know where it came from.

For that matter, this page could certainly use a "history" section. I'll see if I can get something done on it, but no promises;if you see this and feel motivated, go wild.
