Information about conservation status

The only mentions in this article of conservation and threats to the species are the side bar conservation status and the brief assertion that it withstands fire well. While its status is "near threatened" its numbers are falling fast due to many causes. There is a great deal of information about the threat of sudden oak death, as well as other factors leading to the rapid decline of valley oaks. I intend to write a paragraph addressing this important aspect, but welcome any input, especially as to where in the article this information should go.

Photo added

The sidebar photo is a very good one, but this article could use a zoomed-out shot of a mature specimen in full summer foliage. So I added a photo of a mature individual which I think gives a pretty good idea of the overall shape of the tree when it is leafed out and which clearly shows the drooping outer branches that older trees often develop.
