I thought the A&M no longer stood for Agricultural and Mechanical? This is the case for Texas A&M. After all, Prairie View offers degrees in business, engineering, juvenile justice, nursing, etc. These fields would not be offered in an agricultural and mechanical school. Thus, I think the article's name should be changed to "Prairie View A&M University." Prairie view is the best school in all of texas-- Blueag9 06:08, 14 June 2006 (UTC)
Prairie VIew has been in existence since 1876 and there are many traditions that make up student life at PV. The traditions section should be expanded with "Hump Day." More information on Homecoming and its traditions, etc. — Preceding

Image:PVAM.PNG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

It's been proposed to create a new article for Prairie View A&M Panthers (as I write this it is a re-direct) to cover their athletic programs. This is a good move from my point of view, as many colleges and universities have similar articles. Prairie View has been active in sports for over a century and it should be no problem to create a quality article.-- Paul McDonald ( talk) 12:11, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
Eric Skoglund Founder, CEO and President of Etz Chaim Center for Jewish Learning. Could someone check this. I haven't found association after a search. Before University College and University Village, there were (these pages include pictures!):
Alexander, Buchanan, and Holley have been demolished. Others may have been as well.

At http://www.pvamu.edu/Include/Space_mgmt/Campus_Master_Plan/1-Existing.ai.pdf (map of existing buildings) the following are still listed:
"Evans Hall" is listed as an administrative building http://www.pvamu.edu/files/human_resources/docs/Campus%20Map%2008.pdf - BUT it's not the same as "L. O. Evans Hall" - http://web.archive.org/web/19971210062153/http://www.pvamu.edu/map/index.html shows that "Evans Building" and "L. O. Evans" are two different facilities. I have removed text from the "cheerleading" subsection that was unreferenced, and after extensive searching, unreferencable, that made serious allegations against the school, including named persons from it. I have accordingly, under Wikipedia's BLP policy, revision-deleted the edits that contain the content. Please remember that all potentially controversial information in any namespace or article that refers to a living person must be referenced. An editor is edit-warring to include mention of a ranking from CollegeNET in the lead of this article. It's distressingly common to include rankings in the leads of articles for colleges and universities but I object to this one largely because the ranking is relatively new and somewhat obscure. In fact, the only reference that is included in the article is a press release from the university itself and that can hardly be considered independent! It might be appropriate to include this in the body of the article but it has no place in the lead. In fact, it sticks out like a sore thumb in an otherwise useful and informative lead. The caption states that this photo is dated about 1876. The article states that the first eight students began studying on the former plantation in 1878. First, the university in this photo does not look like a plantation, and second, it would appear to have many more students. I would suggest that this photo might have been taken in the 1890s or even later. H-2-O ( talk) 13:31, 22 July 2017 (UTC)
