Would be nice to have an explanation of why they issued a stamp in his honor, since he was a well-known opponent of Southern separatism, and he and Calhoun ended up being enemies...

Split?
This article is somewhat long, but, more importantly, it combines too many disparate topics. I propose we put the actual stamps into one article and the administration/delivery side of things into another article pbp 03:56, 18 November 2012 (UTC)reply
I disagree. First, the page isn't that long at only 62 k. There are plenty of FA's whose length far exceeds this. Second, the topics are intimately connected and give context to the overall text and presentation. No need for a split. --
