I don't think winning a game against the Knicks by a margin of 8 points would be considered a "pounding."
I think it is unfair on steve francis in this article. At the end of the day he did make the magic more exciting in the 2004-2005.
I'm removing Chauncey Billups from the Notable Players section. Yes, he was on the team, but he never played a single game for them. Benq31 03:41, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
The 2006/2007 Magic Media Guide only showed per game averages for points; no rebounds, assists, steals, field-goal percentage, or any other notable statistic. If anyone comes across these numbers somewhere, please add them. Benq31 19:54, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

I'm not sure how many people will read this and give feedback, but I was reading the article like I would for the first time, and I noticed that two sections get named after Shaq, and the 2000-present (which should really be 2000-2005) section, doesn't get a special name, when I think it would be agreed upon by fans that those would be periods where it would be the Tracy McGrady (2000-2004), Steve Francis and Dwight Howard (2004-2006), and just Dwight Howard (2006-now) eras. So I was thinking the 2000-2005 section should be split into individual sections for each franchise players respective stint with the team, and either be named after that franchise player, or keep it as the years, and rename the Shaq era titles as the years he was there. Or maybe there could be a way to do both player name and years, if anyone reads this soon and has an idea to put out there, otherwise I'll just do it on my own and hope it doesn't turn into a continuous "reverting edit" problem with someone else. "Second-fastest ... in league history"
The phrasing of the stat "Orlando became the second-fastest team to advance to the NBA Finals in league history" needs to be revised to have a qualifier (probably "second-fastest expansion team" but someone familiar with the actual statistic should correct it). Otherwise, it is technically incorrect because in the first years of the NBA, several different teams reached the finals faster.
I don't know if anybody has noticed, but I'm working on creating articles for NBA mascots. I say this, because I think it would be best if Stuff the Magic Dragon had his own page. Stuff has been an integral part of the Orlando Magic's ability to entertain the franchise's kid-friendly fan base. As you might've noticed, I included Stuff's website and blog as external links. I truly think Stuff's article shouldn't be merged with the Orlando Magic article and should stand on its' own.
By the way, I do hope Stuff's article at least meets Wikipedia's standards for article critirea. Mr. Brain ( talk) 02:35, 2 April 2009 (UTC)
I agree with what your saying Mr. Brain. Stuff needs to continue to have his own page he is the best Mascot in the NBA and many other mascots have there own page so he should to!! justinrocks58 ( talk) 09:10, 31 January 2011 (UTC)
The Orlando Magic have changed their logo, and the article should be changed to reflect this. The source is here. 76.167.253.199 ( talk) 19:13, 17 June 2010 (UTC)
Can you please put the logos back in the Orlando Magic page? You're just destroying the information about the team's history.
I've submitted a PNG thumb of the current black third-strip the Magic play on the road in, for use in this page's infobar. It can be found at File:Kit_body_orlandom3.png Elloelloelloellowallop ( talk) 23:57, 8 March 2011 (UTC)
Most of the NBA teams have an SVG file for their logo. Could someone make/find one for the Magic?

"Many, including Williams himself at first, thought that Miami or Tampa were better locations in Florida for a franchise, given Orlando was a small town lacking a major airport and a suitable arena." The source indeed states this, but in this case, I believe the source is mistaken. Even at the time, Orlando International Airport was a hub for Eastern Air Lines. -- JeffBillman ( talk) 06:42, 30 October 2016 (UTC)
Quoth Pat Williams: "And the airport? Oh, my goodness, it was embarrassing to bring anybody into the airport and try to sell them [on Orlando. Fortunately, when the owners came to visit, they came in private planes."] It might have fit for the region, but not to the northeastern standards. Just see how much of the MCO was built after the franchise started in 1986. igordebraga ≠ 17:04, 7 December 2016 (UTC)
