Autonetics

Would like to see a discussion here of Autonetics Industrial Products, manufacturers of the Recomp line of computers and a division of North American Aviation. I have a fair amount of information on the Recomp II and Recomp III, but close to nothing on Autonetics itself. Jim 19:57, 17 January 2006 (UTC) reply

Apollo 1

It says in the Apollo 1 article that they had something to do with the shipping or creation.

"When North American Aviation shipped Spacecraft CM-012 to Kennedy Space Center"

is the text from the article under the naming of Apollo 1. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Yamaka122 ( talkcontribs) 01:41, 29 June 2007 (UTC) reply

They manufactured the spacecraft, so of course they shipped it to Cape Kennedy, genius. What's your question? JustinTime55 ( talk) 19:38, 21 April 2015 (UTC) reply

Fair use rationale for Image:NorthAmericanAviation.png

Image:NorthAmericanAviation.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Those of you with 1st hand knowledge of NAA history need not contribute

I much appreciated the opportunity to work at North American Aviation and wished to contribute to this article. Apparently that is not allowed. I have been roundly chastised on several occasions by junior editor BilCat for my "original research" when attempting to correct errors or add additional information--not just on this article but others as well. Since Bilbcat will not allow me to correct the text of the article, for those interested in knowing, Rocketdyne was NOT sold in 1955 and was a division of NAA for as long as NAA existed. For those wishing any further information about NAA, please contact Bilcat for a list of his "approved" sources. 166.70.15.248 ( talk) 18:17, 25 May 2015 (UTC) reply
