Newbury street was not considered worthy of mention in Edwin M. Bacon's 1903 Boston: A Guide-Book, nor in Rand McNally's 1924 Boston Guide to Places of Interest in the City and Environs. [[User:Dpbsmith| Dpbsmith (talk)]]

• because when those books were written, YOU COULDN'T MISS THE STREET, and in the Rand McNally book, go look up the famous "exeter theater", one of the country's most famous theaters (built in 1910(?)).

Doesn't Newbury Street continue beyond Mass Ave? I recall reading about this, most people ignore the part past Mass Ave because the southern half of the road was blown a away when they built the Pike. -- Jeremy ( blah blah • I did it!) 05:26, 28 July 2009 (UTC) reply
