So why can’t we get Rt 28A widened/repaved??? We are avid cyclists, live on Rt 28A West Hurley and have witnessed multiple confrontations due to road not being wide enough and having to ride in lane due to blacktop deterioration. Will it take a serious accident to have this addressed??? Concerned not only for the many cyclist but walkers also? Cars/ trucks blame cyclist and cyclist blame unsaved dangerous road causing them to ride in lane. You try riding around the Ashokan Reservoir on Rt 28A.

Maybe this belongs in the Staten Island Ferry article, but there's a whole website loaded with old pictures of the Staten Island Ferry and other ferries around the city that show that it used to be part of the "New York City Department of Marine and Aviation." At some point NYCDOT must've taken over that agency, and it ought to be added to the article somehow. --------- User:DanTD ( talk) 15:25, 14 June 2019 (UTC)
I agree with the removal of the "Incidents" section
here. The edit summary was reasonable - The inclusion of only one incident, while not mentioning others, appears to be arbitrary, and as such the inclusion of this entire sub-section is suspect, as it does not add any encyclopedic knowledge about the subject to the page. If this was intended to be encyclopedic information, it is more appropriate to a separate news aggregator type page (Lists of incidents involving New York City employees)

While this info has existed in the page for 4 years (as was mentioned when the removal was
reverted), it's less that people agree to it, and more that it has survived without scrutiny for that long. Per
WP:10YT, one consideration to including something in an article is: Will someone ten years from now be confused about how this article is written? In ten years will this addition still appear relevant?
It is quite literally almost ten years since the incident happened, and the incidents section (with a single incident) does not seem to add anything encyclopedic to the description of NYCDOT.
