In about 1955, I went to New Hope Elementary School. It was a one room school and I think it housed 1st through 3rd grade. My teacher was Mrs. Hayes and she was really mean. I learned to read because she would slap me on the back if I forgot a word. I learned by memorization and self-preservation. I believe it was in New Hope. Both my parents are deceased so I can't ask them. I only went there for one school year. Does anyone out there have any info about this school? When I started, there wasn't a lunch room. We had to take our lunch and if the weather was good, we would go outside to eat. We got a lunch room before the end of the year. 72.145.228.200 ( talk) 20:09, 17 July 2010 (UTC) reply

There is no article for that particular school, but that's no big surprise because elementary schools are not considered inherently notable. Your best bet might be to ask at the humanities reference desk or approach the Paulding County School District for which we do have an article with a link to their website. Map

The linked map coordinates appear incorrect. The article describes the town of New Hope in Paulding County, GA. The map links to a town labeled as "New Hope" in Google Maps, but it is about 60 miles to the Northeast, not in Paulding County. 153.31.113.20 ( talk) 13:45, 30 July 2013 (UTC) reply
