New Additions

Hello all, I would like to propose some edits to this page as well as some additions. The addition I would like to add is a section on how religion has played a role in the New Great Migration. I also want to expand on the part that talks about how certain states and cities are being chosen for the movement. Lastly I would like to add where the migrants in the movement are coming from, the page has a chart showing that the percentage of African Americans living in the south has increased it does not say where they are coming from. For my edits and additions I will be using a research paper by Sabrina Pendergrass in 2017. She did her research on the reasons why migrants of this movement have moved and she specifically focused on religion. The link for anyone interested is https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s12552-016-9191-8 Pendergrass received her Phd in Sociology from Harvard in 2010 and is currently apart of Sociology and African American as well as African Studies at the University of Virginia. These things make her research a great and credible source on this topic. If anyone would like to give me some feedback or suggest some changes please feel free to let me know. In the end I would like to add around 200 to 300 words to the page. Brayden.Schlaf ( talk) 18:41, 1 December 2020 (UTC) reply
