Temperature Records

It would be good to state the date of the earlier 125 F temperature record. The website https://www.currentresults.com/Weather-Extremes/US/hottest.php lists it as 17 July 2005. But I don't know if that URL is considered a good source or not. [ I added the 20 June 2017 record-tie. Self-designated city?

I'm confused. Needles is an incorporated city (1913) in California. Why does the first paragraph assert that it is a town, then make the statement that it is a "self-designated city"? Doug ( talk) 13:38, 10 December 2019 (UTC) reply
