Please stop propagating the myth that the Chestnut Street District and the McIntire Historic District are the same thing. They are not. The Chestnut Street District is well-defined in the National Register documentation. The closest thing I have ever seen to a description of the McIntire Historic District is that it is a local historic district that includes all of the Chestnut Street District, all of the
Federal Street District, and some other areas adjacent to these. I have never seen it formally bounded in any documentation. If you want to write an article entitled
McIntire Historic District, feel free to do so, but stop conflating it with the National Register Chestnut Street District. Magic♪piano 20:40, 21 November 2016 (UTC)reply
