NASDAQNasdaq – Formalizing the above move request, the all-caps styling has not been the proper name of this stock exchange in many years. It is not only no longer styled as such by the exchange themselves in either text or their logo, but also by third-party coverage from such reliable sources as The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal, who might know a thing or two about the stock markets. oknazevad ( talk) 05:08, 27 January 2021 (UTC) reply

creation date

The Internet wasn't created till 1983, so I don't think the NASDAQ was really created in 71, as a global trading system. Perhaps there were 5 or 6 guys with file on companies on their computers, but they had to punch cards to talk to the thing, so.... come on now, let's get it right. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2603:6010:4404:D1D4:5DCB:8741:C016:882C ( talk) 14:17, 3 February 2022 (UTC) reply

You do realize that computer networking long predates the global internet, right? oknazevad ( talk) 15:12, 3 February 2022 (UTC) reply

"Founded" vs "inception"?

Wikidata says that NASDAQ had its conception on the 4th of February 1971, while the article says it was found on the 8th of February. Which is correct? toreau ( talk) 20:11, 7 February 2022 (UTC) reply

Should all the "NASDAQ" acronyms be changed to "Nasdaq" to conform with their name change SEC filing from 2017

Only for ones after the change. The ones from before were still properly all caps reflecting the name's original creation as an acronym. That they later went to mixed case can and should be mentioned, and references after that should be in said mixed case, but it would be anachronistic to use it before the official change. oknazevad ( talk) 13:51, 2 July 2023 (UTC) reply
