It's a town, they are not the same under state law, shouldn't it be the fifth largest Municipality in South Carolina? Iamanadam 21:50, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
I have now twice ( here and here) reverted edits that added a great deal of unsourced information, were poorly formatted, and in general lacked an encyclopedic tone and sounded like an advertisement for the town from a Chamber of Commerce brochure or website. I have reached out to the editor in question asking them to discuss their edits either here or on their talk page and have not been engaged. I will not revert a third time; if the edits are reinstated with no discussion I will tag the page with an NPOV template and invite general discussion. Cjmclark ( Contact) 00:46, 31 July 2012 (UTC)

The area of what I have seen of Mt. Pleasant is entirely flat (not surprising since it is in the flatlands.) There is no mention that I could find of when the town was incorporated and when or why it was named Mt. Pleasant. Since pretty much every state has a town of the same name (in fact, there is another place in SC called that same thing, the town where Mary Chesnut was born), I'm wondering if this a Biblical name? 98.219.126.182 ( talk) 02:00, 10 March 2018 (UTC)
Breach Inlet is between Sullivan’s Island and the Isle of Palms. It seems unlikely to me that the Hunley would launch from there to get to Charleston Harbor. Seems like it would have launched close to the Pitt Street Bridge near the Harbor on the south side of Sullivan’s Island. Navinger ( talk) 15:45, 26 July 2019 (UTC)
can we add to the notice on top a direct link to /info/en/?search=Foxconn%27s_Wisconsin_plant ? That event mentions the same name of the city, in WI. Yet this is the largest city with the same name (and the more visible google result for it) 209.131.62.126 ( talk) 23:05, 31 July 2019 (UTC)
