I see that this page has been reverted two times in relation to calling the nickname of Modesto as "The Gateway to Yosemite." This is not the nickname of Modesto, it is the nickname of Merced. If Pauconstant or anyone else can give a credible source that says that Modesto's nickname is "the Gateway to Yosemite," then please cite it. Otherwise, no nickname will not be cited on this artic on the don and mike show they call modesto "molesto" because they think that we have a bunch of sex offenders and its annoying and the only reason we would have a nickname is because we created it by acting the way we do

Actually, i am from modesto. i was born and raised there all my life. there are only certain residents that set the rep for modesto as "molesto" and i have never in my life heard of any kind of nickname for modest as molesto. alot of people n modesto who are actually from there arent sex offenders. and i dont think that any one shouldve wrote that on here because its not true. and the press and the media really do spot out the wrong things in modesto; and not the good qualities of modesto. take compton or los angeles for example; i have not seen on here at all about los angeles. and u think modestos bad? think again. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.146.138.1 ( talk) 00:03, 7 February 2008 (UTC) reply
