Modern history seems a poor redirect target for this
[1]. There's probably a lot more interest in
modernity and
modernism, and those who want modern history will know what it's called, while those wanting modernity or modernism may not.

Modern history was declared primary topic with
this edit which was effectively a copy&paste move to
Modern (disambiguation). I think we should just revert it because I don't see discussion of primary topic anywhere. --

Agree... But now that I look a little deeper it's a bit of a mess. The cut-and-paste was long ago, with quite a bit of activity since. Not sure how important it is to preserve this edit history. Hmmm...

The history after the copy&paste included only three anonymous blankings that were reverted. I've merged it again. If someone wants to argue
