I think it looks tacky and confusing lisiting every faculty member along with their e-mail. If no one can make a resonable case for keeping it I'm going to edit it out on Wednesday, July 5th 2006.

I removed them; barring anyone's offering a reason the edit should be reverted, this page still needs a lot of clean-up.

I'm fairly new to wikipedia, made a few dozen edits and finally decided to make a real account. Since I'm at Marist, this seems like a good item for me to clean up, so I'll take a look at getting some data together with real sources. First thing I notice, however, is that everywhere lists Marist as being in Poughkeepsie, NY, as in the City of Poughkeepsie. Its not. Its very much in the Town of Poughkeepsie, and this can be independantly verified by http://geoaccess.co.dutchess.ny.us/parcelaccess/ . Seems like a large change, is it kosher to make this change? I would say so. Marist isn't in the city. I believe they pride themselves on being in a suburban area. Next time just make the change, especially if you have a cite. then just wait to see if someone discredits your cite.

The town/city line is somewhat south of Marist and roughly parallel to Henderson St. and the intersection of Rte 9 and Delafield Street, thus placing both Marist and Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital in the Town, not the city -as indicated on google maps. A second indicator would be where Washington Street (in the city) becomes NYS Route 9G in the Town. Any payment to the town is likely in the nature of a Payment in Lieu of Taxes (PILOT) for various services such as police. I've made a major edit for the "History" section. They're always saying " Be bold" eh? I'm aware sources still need to be cited, and I'll be doing that, but I felt that what I had saved up was better enough to be worth posting, espically considering the previous version didn't cite anything either! Someone from the Marist PR department must have gotten their hands on this one. The article reads like an advertisement. Lots of information here that is not important, and probably only interesting to people already attending the school, or living in Poughkeepsie. The "history" section is particularly bad, filled with pretentious subtitles like: "Marist finds Technology" and "The Future." Editing down is always better then having something that is drivel. It is the equivelent to a vanity page, as far as I am concerned.

The rankings section is very carefully worded to make the college seem competitive. For example, it says "Marist was ranked 10th out of 172 universities in the category Regional Universities (North)." Why not just list its national ranking?
