Neutrality

This page sounds like it was written by a tour guide. The whole lower section about various stores is NPOV.

NPOV was the wrong complaint, but I agree with the "tour guide" jibe. It wasn't particularly encyclopedic. DCB4W 04:21, 27 October 2006 (UTC) reply
Agreed about it being non-encyclopedic. I added starbucks since if we're going to list coffee shops we should have all the shops, but honestly I don't see why we're enumerating all the stores in the first place.

How is Dads Garage in Little Five Points? It's nearly a mile away in Inman Park, outside what any neighbors would recognize as L5P —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.145.180.121 ( talk) 03:37, 30 October 2010 (UTC) reply

main summary

I added some history and clarified the intersection information. Smibbo 16:26, 28 December 2006 (UTC)smibbo reply

Swapped "yuppies" for "urban pioneers". Lets be fair, if it werent for a core of hard working and dedicated folks taking a huge risk by investing into this neighborhood, then the neighborhood would have rotted at best and been converted to low end retail at worst. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Formandfile ( talkcontribs) 01:37, 29 April 2007

Sevenanda/Junkman's

I removed the links to sevenanda and junkman's daughter. Actually, i started a sevenanda page, and it was speadily deleted by User:nawlinwiki. Llamabr 01:24, 7 June 2007 (UTC) reply

Thanks for trying. — Disavian ( talk/ contribs) 04:35, 7 June 2007 (UTC) reply
How did Sevenanda qualify for a speedy delete? There are at least half a dozen reasons why it deserves an article, based on notability factors alone. Granted most of that source material is in one of the official languages of India, and not English. jonathon 05:00, 4 November 2007 (UTC) reply

Beats me. I can never tell why something's gonna be deleted. Try to write it again, and see what happens. Llamabr 19:17, 3 December 2007 (UTC) reply
I read the source material in hardcopy back in the early eighties. A publication put out at a conference of Indian ( Bharat) cooperatives. jonathon ( talk) 09:21, 11 February 2008 (UTC) reply

A Cappela Books/Criminal Records

Aren't both A Cappela Books and Criminal Records refugees from Seattle? jonathon 05:04, 4 November 2007 (UTC) reply

Nope -- Jolomo 19:24, 4 December 2007 (UTC) reply
I have a business card from around 1995 for A Cappela Books with a Capital Hill, Seattle address. jonathon ( talk) 18:46, 6 December 2007 (UTC) reply
Must be a different company. This A Capella was founded in L5P in 1989 [1]. -- Jolomo ( talk) 18:53, 7 December 2007 (UTC) reply

Frank, the owner of A Capella, moved to Atlanta from San Francisco. He'd worked in a used/antique book shop there —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.145.180.121 ( talk) 03:30, 30 October 2010 (UTC) reply

Neutrality 2nd

which biased idiot wrote that section??

"Because of the more "left-leaning" types who populated the area and began less-than-typical businesses, Little Five Points is often thought of as a center of liberalism and alternative culture within metropolitan Atlanta." What the hell means left-leaning types and how does it connect to liberalism? which narrow-minded two-dimensional view of life must one have to write such shit. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.111.63.155 ( talk) 04:28, 19 January 2008 (UTC) reply

During the late sixties, it was where the hippies hung out. During the seventies,it retained the political left wing liberalism that hallmarked the hippie movement. jonathon ( talk) 09:55, 11 February 2008 (UTC) reply

Crystal Blue

There is a photo on the main "Little Five Points" page of a shop in L5P called Crystal Blue. The caption under it says that it is a head shop. While there are a few in L5P, Crystal Blue is NOT one of them. They sell stones, books, incense and a few other things, but nothing that would be considered "drug paraphernalia" or anything that a head shop would carry. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jester13.0 ( talkcontribs) 04:39, 27 May 2012 (UTC) reply
