the wikilink to resolution is too general. I can not figure which page it should point to though. Does anyone have any idea where this should point? STHayden[

Repetition is a
literary technique, not a literary element. The easiest way to tell if something belongs on this list or not is to ask whether it is possible to write a literary work without it. If the answer is, "not easily," then it probably belongs on here.

The difference between literary elements (plot, characterization, theme, etc.) should be differentiated from literary devices (e.g., irony, imagery, figurative language). —Preceding

I agree with this. I'll see if I can make some edits later tonight. This is an important topic, especially for people writing term papers, etc.

Mostly done (a year later). There's still a few (e.g. anagnorisis, foil, etc.) that are questionable. I'll probably remove them once I've linked to this article aggressively enough and start a BRD cycle.

Why did you remove the entire list with the literary elements!? Aren't we suppose to add information to the Wiki, not remove it? — Preceding

Narrative structure
The
narrative structure structure article begins by stating its position as a literary element, but isn't included in the
list of literary element terms. By definition narrative structure seems to be a literary element, but I'm not sure what would count as a reliable source to cite its inclusion in the list.

Never mind. I see now you just added it before I looked.—

Judging by the activity of this talk page I feel as if it would be more helpful to make the change and add a citation required mark
