table format

Thanks to whomever put this into a table, but for the record, I think this is bad form. Wikipedia style is to avoid tables unless necessary and I think this could be handled with asterists in this case. MPS 18:55, 8 October 2006 (UTC) reply

I can't find anything in the manual of style that disfavors table format. In fact, I think the WP standard has come to favor tables for presenting information such as this. Personally, I think this list is better as a table since it looks cleaner, and better organizes the information. The bulleted format appeared jumbled and disorganized. Let's see... Wikipedia:When to use tables.

Many times, a list is best left as a list. Some articles include very long lists which might be difficult to edit if they were in table form. Before you format a list in table form, consider whether the information will be more clearly conveyed by virtue of having rows and columns. If so, then a table is probably a good choice. If there is no obvious benefit to having rows and columns, then a table is probably not the best choice.

above blockquote is FYI... I have made my share of tables and I know there are pros and cons to having them so I am not going to push to hard on this one... just my $0.02. Again, let me say goog job on the table... maybe we can add a column of information to make the list more table-worthy. ; ) MPS 20:27, 9 October 2006 (UTC) reply
