The article would be a good one with correct references. KarenAnn 18:11, 16 June 2006 (UTC) reply

Thanks for your work. One thing I wondered is why you removed (twice) the pronunciation explanation. Cheers, -- Infrogmation 18:17, 16 June 2006 (UTC) reply
Very sorry to have done that and I would not have done it if I knew you wanted it there. KarenAnn 18:30, 16 June 2006 (UTC) reply

For the record, Lake Pontchartrain was temporarily an extension of the gulf of mexico (as opposed to a lake) during the Katrina crisis. -- DragonAtma —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.122.82.29 ( talk) 20:36, 26 October 2007 (UTC) reply

Spelling

This lake is quite widely referred to as 'Ponchartrain' (without the 't') - even within the article. Is this simply a misspelling, needing to be corrected, or an acceptable alternative spelling? Colonies Chris ( talk) 09:51, 3 June 2012 (UTC) reply
