From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hello,

I am the Digital Specialist at L.A. Care Health Plan. We currently need to update the accuracy of this page and wondered if there is a specific process for content "owners" to go through in order to update the page of a company / organization they represent?

Thank you for any assistance the Wikipedia community can offer!

I just sent an urgent email address to an Admin address requesting an urgent rollback to my the edits made today (10/29/13) when I made a number of important corrections and updates to the company organization profile; notably in Coverage Programs and History and structure.

These edits have now disappeared.

Wikipedia Admin: can you please reinstate them? I do not have the time to keep correcting inaccurate information on this profile, only for someone to remove the corrections.

This is a matter of some importance, as L.A. Care is a publicly operated health plan that needs to maintain accuracy not only to members, but also to regulatory organizations. Today’s edits were 100% accurate and in no way worded in the first person. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lacarehealthplan ( talkcontribs) 22:23, 29 October 2013 (UTC) reply

It looks like you do not understand Wikipedia or you have not done your research properly. There are no content owners in Wikipedia. In order to fix inaccurate information, you edit the page and add or change information supported by verifiable reliable sources. You say the edits you made have "disappeared". No. They have been reverted. If you look at the history of the page you will see who did it and why as the reverter left a clear edit summary explaining. You say your edits are accurate. They may be, but they did not have sourcing. You have to also realize that you have a serious conflict of interest here. You need to understand what that means and its implications, including the Law of Unintended Consequences. You also said you sent an "urgent email". Wikipedia does not have any deadlines so there is no urgency. Lastly, your account name is in violation of the username rules. You have been so advised in your Talk Page but have not responded, yet you went on editing without addressing this issue. Unless you do and soon, your account will be closed. Please address this issue before anything else, or stop using this account and open an account that does not denote an organization or implies shared use. -- Alexf (talk) 11:38, 2 November 2013 (UTC) reply
Note that the user abandoned the account a short while ago on my recommendation, and has since edited this article with a personal account. § FreeRangeFrog croak 16:51, 2 November 2013 (UTC) reply
