Pictures

The article includes an image of Green Island from an airplane. Compared to the satellite view of the atoll, this island has the correct shape, but the runway shown in the satellite is not seen in the airplane view. Google's satellite view of Green Island also shows the runway. So, is this image of "Green Island" incorrectly labeled? KarlWK ( talk) 05:10, 22 May 2010 (UTC) reply

  • No, that is indeed Green Island. Reason for the discrepency may be that the runway is poorly kept, and the photo must have been taken at a time, recent or distant, when it was completely overgrown. SeanMD80 talk | contribs 02:02, 9 March 2011 (UTC) reply

Needs elaboration in the Geological History Section. There were quite a few shipwrecks here throughout the years, detailed information on all of them should be inserted. An Ecology section needs to be made, which should have the "plastic toys killing birds" bits in it, along with any other relevant info. A picture of the garbage that washes up on the beaches would be nice. SeanMD80 talk | contribs 04:37, 21 March 2008 (UTC) reply
