I noticed there was a gap in the history section about Kiawah. I broadly covered from the Colonial period through the Civil War but as you can imagine there are not extensive sources on this topic. The word "family" has no clear meaning in this context. As discussed above, it appears to be a marketing term, inappropriate for Wikipedia. Fenwayguy ( talk) 02:43, 12 September 2009 (UTC)
Words and phrases like "hailed as" "spacious", "acclaimed", "sought after", seem like (self-)promotion to me and should be removed or changed to reflect neutral POV. I removed this sentence "Enjoy access to beautiful pools, tennis facilities, golf courses, fitness centers, social opportunities, and more." I'm a relative newbie.
