To whomever created the template at the bottom of this page of Bay Area TV stations (I can't figure out how to edit it), it should be KTVU for Channel 2, not "KTUV." Moncrief 05:05, Feb 10, 2005 (UTC)

The template is at Template:SF TV. If you go to edit the page, just under the textarea box, there is a list of templates used in the page. -- ChrisRuvolo 08:44, 10 Feb 2005 (UTC)
Looks like you fixed it. Thanks. Now I know how to get into templates. Appreciate it. Moncrief 09:52, Feb 10, 2005 (UTC)

NewsHour

Just a note: The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer is broadcast simultaneously on KQED radio and TV. No delay whatsoever--I wonder how they do that.

Why not? I listen to it on the radio most of the time and its rare that i feel i am missing significant information with seeing it. John (Jwy) 03:50, 2 January 2006 (UTC) reply
I think the question was how, not why. And I have no idea, but it's cool, because it means I can hear it on the radio when I walk into the kitchen or my room and on TV when I walk into the living room. — Emiellaiendiay 05:52, 12 February 2007 (UTC) reply

Founding

Was it founded in 1954 or 1969? The article makes both claims. - Branddobbe 07:28, 24 January 2007 (UTC) reply

KQED radio was founded 1969. The TV station was 1954. -- ChrisRuvolo ( t) 16:04, 24 January 2007 (UTC) reply

KCAH MO?

Why does KCAH radio from Carthage Missouri redirect to KQED TV from California? Sir Sanjuro ( talk) 01:40, 21 December 2008 (UTC) reply

Probably (quoting the article here): "KQET was founded in 1989 as KCAH, a locally-owned PBS member station that served the Monterey area. In the late 1990s, San Jose PBS member station KTEH acquired KCAH, making it a satellite of KTEH." I'm sure it would be appropriate to create a new article at KCAH if there is enough information out there. (John User:Jwy talk) 03:13, 21 December 2008 (UTC) reply

Connection to Q.E.D.?

Is there a sourced connection between the call letters KQED (or WQED) and the latin Q.E.D.? Dicklyon ( talk) 03:51, 13 June 2009 (UTC) reply

Yes; I added a cite from their website.-- RDBury ( talk) 11:43, 12 December 2009 (UTC) reply
this is relevant. I was thinking of it, and glad wikipedia has a link to it to confirm my suspicion. 169.229.11.21 ( talk) 21:17, 30 December 2009 (UTC) reply
